The idea for The Playing Field website was conceived by The Playing Field Legacy Fund and the National CPFA Support Committee (NCSC). The PFLF have generously funded the initial stages of the project so that the idea can become a reality.
The Playing Field is designed to act as an open access source of advice, guidance, news and views for all of those who are passionate about community playing fields and the opportunities that they offer for sport, play and physical activity.
The Playing Field's editor is Nicole O'Donnell, the Community Development Officer of the Oxfordshire Playing Fields Association, working on behalf of the NCSC. She can be contacted here: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Whether you are a local playing field manager looking for ideas and advice on how to run your field, a County Playing Field Association looking for support for your members, a local authority hoping to get more people out on your playing field, or indeed a local resident who loves their playing field, we hope you will find the answers you are looking for on the site. Indeed, we hope that you will be inspired by what others have achieved on their playing fields and play areas.
